Brow Lift

Procedure

Eyebrow position tends to drop as we age and in particular the outer aspect of each eyebrow.  This can sometimes contribute to an appearance of tiredness.

Process

Surgery to elevate the eyebrows may be performed in a variety of ways ranging from a direct approach leaving a scar at the upper extent of the eyebrow to more complex procedures where the scar may be hidden within the hairline. Typically the surgery may be combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures where a general anaesthetic will be required.

Aftercare

Following discharge from hospital simple pain killers are usually all that is required.  Bruising and swelling at the site of the surgery is common and will subside.

Depending on the technique used a week or so away from work is advised. A follow-up appointment will be arranged by the hospital to see the specialist plastic surgery nurses initially and thereafter a review appointment with your plastic surgeon will be scheduled to ensure all is well and that you are happy with your result.
